Amy Piggott

Amy has practised exclusively in the area of family law since her admission to the legal profession in 2013. Amy holds a Bachelor of Law with Honours and a Bachelor of Psychological Science from Griffith University.

Amy has experience in all areas of family law including property matters, child related matters and domestic violence issues. She focuses on assisting and guiding clients to navigate what is typically one of the most stressful times of their lives.

Amy grew up in rural New South Wales and has an open and friendly approach to her legal practice. She has a particular interest in domestic violence matters and enjoys providing assistance to client’s in an empathetic, kind and caring manner.

As a mother, Amy appreciates the bonds that exist within families. She believes it is extremely important to seek to maintain those bonds and relationships after separation and strives to find a resolution for client’s that prioritise such relationships.

As a wife and mother to three beautiful children, Amy’s “spare time” is somewhat limited! She does enjoy baking and sewing when she has the opportunity. She also gets much enjoyment from planning “Pinterest inspired” themed birthday parties for her children, but admits this sometimes causes her more stress than being a family lawyer!
